Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Maverick River Roasters, a venture of Maverick River Collective, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (“we,” “us,” or “our”), collects and uses your information. We collect only what we need, we tell you who helps us, and we never sell or rent your information.

Information we collect

• When you order coffee: your name, shipping address, email, and payment details. Coffee is sold and shipped through our roasting partner, Fourth Man Roasters, on their Shopify store, so your order and payment are processed by Shopify and its payment processor. We do not see or store your full card number.
• When you fill out a form: the wholesale inquiry form collects your organization name, your name, email, phone number, city, and anything you write in the message. The notify form collects your email. These are delivered to us by email through a form service called Web3Forms.
• Automatically: basic, aggregate usage information such as pages visited and general device type. We do not build advertising profiles.

How we use your information

• Fulfill your coffee orders and get them shipped.
• Respond to your wholesale and partnership inquiries.
• Send you the updates you asked for.
• Operate and improve our website, and meet our legal obligations.

How we share information

We share information only with the service providers that help us operate, and only for that purpose:

• Fourth Man Roasters, Shopify, and the payment processor to sell, charge for, and ship your coffee.
• Web3Forms to deliver your form messages to our inbox.
• Our analytics provider for aggregate usage only.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we never share your contact information with third parties for their own marketing. We may disclose information when the law requires it.

Data retention & security

We keep your information only as long as we need it to serve you and to meet our legal obligations, and we use reasonable safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from our updates at any time using the link in any email, and you may contact us to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. As a nonprofit, Maverick River Collective is generally exempt from the California Consumer Privacy Act, but we honor these requests anyway.

Do Not Track

We do not track you across other companies’ websites. Because there is no common industry standard for “Do Not Track” browser signals, our site does not currently respond to them.

Children's privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent version.
